At DPE, we specialize in:
- Hospital and healthcare design: DPE supports healthcare projects ranging from Level 1 trauma centers to medical office buildings. Our CEO is one of only five practicing mechanical engineers in Oklahoma holding ASHRAE’s Healthcare Facility Design Professional (HFDP) certification. We design mechanical and plumbing systems that meet healthcare codes, standards, and operational requirements.
- Heavy industrial design: We have extensive experience in heavy industrial environments, including manufacturing, water and wastewater facilities, aviation, and related sectors. Our designs account for corrosive materials, hazardous and explosive conditions, and stringent cleanliness and process requirements.
- Commercial restaurants: Restaurant projects present unique challenges related to airflow, building pressurization, and high heat loads. We provide coordinated designs for air handling units, exhaust hoods, make-up air systems, and integrated fire suppression, with a focus on code compliance, performance, and constructability.
- Remodels: With more than 15 years of experience in commercial building remodels, DPE understands the unique challenges these projects present. Successful remodels require more than designing a functional space. We evaluate how proposed changes affect existing systems, including airflows, building pressures, and plumbing infrastructure in adjacent and interconnected areas.
